    Remarks:
Gift of Minnie Hanna in memory of Mrs. Ellen C. Colby. The cost was $2,100. Originally a fountain, the basin was filled in about 1954-1958 because of plumbing problems. There was originally a plaque and lions' heads on the base. The lions were missing about 1974 and the plaque was missing later. IAS files include a related article from the Humboldt Independent May 4, 1974 and photocopies of the work in its original form.
