The Fort Ransom Viking, (sculpture). Artist:  Warll, William, sculptor. Title:  The Fort Ransom Viking, (sculpture). Other Titles:  Thor, (sculpture). Dates:  Dedicated Sept. 26, 1972. Medium:  Sculpture: metal and fiberglass; Base: concrete and stucco. Dimensions:  Sculpture: approx. 16 x 6 x 6 ft.; Base: approx. 6 x 6 x 6 ft. Inscription:  1972 (...illegible) Description:  Standing, bearded male Viking, with his proper left leg bent at the knee and stepping forward on a rock. His proper left arm is held up in front of his face, the hand clenched in a fist, while the proper right arm is at his side, extending forward a bit. A sword and sheath hang at his proper left side, and he wears a three-pronged Viking helmet. A small fence surrounds the base, and cables from the base to his shoulders stabilize the sculpture.
