    Description: 
    Full-length figure of St. Anthony holding the Christ child. Anthony wears a belted monk's robe and cowl. He holds the Christ child vertically in front of him at chest level with his proper right hand supporting the infant's waist and his proper left hand supporting the infant's legs. The child faces out and wears a gown which hangs below his feet. His proper right hand is raised in greeting or blessing. Behind the Christ child, tucked into the crook of St. Anthony's proper left arm, is a bouquet of flowers, possibly lilies. The cast stone sculpture stands in a niche on the facade of a church building.

    The church was built in 1953-1955 and was dedicated Oct. 13, 1953. Roy was architect for the new building, and Walsh Brothers served as contractors. IAS files contain copy of related article from Manchester Union Leader, Oct. 11, 1955.
