    Description: 
    The stone is carved in relief with an inscription with gold leaf on the letters. Below the inscription there is a row of stars carved in relief. The outer edges of the stone are carved with a border, with a star in each corner.

    Remarks: 
    One of 193 commemorative stones set into the interior walls of the Washington Monument. The stones were donated by states, cities, towns, organizations, individuals, and foreign countries in honor of George Washington. The citizens of Stockton, California donated the stone, which is located at the 250 ft. level.
