Description:
An abstract tree form constructed of wood and metal. The piece is composed of two fan-like shapes made from wood slats bolted to two metal posts. The wood slats are wrapped with sheet metal so only the end grains of the board are exposed. The wood slats are painted a dark red.

Remarks:
The sculpture was designed by Abe Vigil, then art supervisor for the Denver Public Schools, and constructed by students of the Street Academy and other Metro Youth Education Centers in the city. The project evolved from HAI's (Hospital Audiences, Inc.) artist-in-apprentice program and involved art workshops for disadvantaged youth. IAS files contain related news article from The Denver Post, July 12, 1977, Festival section, pg. 10.
