    Description: 
    A bust of actress and comedienne Mary Tyler Moore depicted smiling with a wide grin. The bust has a dark brown patina, and she has chin-length hair with bangs. Her clothing has a green patina and includes a blouse with a rounded collar and a scarf tied at the neck. The bust is sharply tapered from the shoulders and is supported by two square tiers.

    Remarks: 
    The bust was commissioned to commemorate Mary Tyler Moore's induction into the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame in 1984. The bust was one of several pieces in place for the May 4, 1991 dedication of the Academy's new headquarters. The bust's selection and placement were overseen by the Hall of Fame Sculpture Committee, chaired by architect Jan Scott. Scott also designed the base for the bust.
