    Tablet with medallion head of Colonel Harry Clay Egbert in center of two swords. On either end of the swords are eagles with U.S. flag shields. Oak leaves line the tablet. The tablet is on a tower.

    Colonel Harry Clay Egbert was a Brigadier General who died on the battlefield near Malina, Luzon, March 25, 1899, while leading his regiment against the Filipino entrenchments. Erected by the Citizens of Cincinnati Covington, Newport and vicinity. IAS files contain related article from Cincinnati and Kentucky Enquirer, July 3, 1899, pg. 5.
