Remarks:
Clyde E. Fant served as the mayor of Shreveport, Louisiana for two terms, the first from 1946 to 1954, and the second from 1958 to 1970. The bust was presented to the people of Shreveport by a committee of his friends. IAS files contain a partial listing of names that appear on base. IAS files contain a related article from Shreveport Magazine (Jan. 1977): pg. 30, 67-68.
