    Description: 
    A seated nude male with knees drawn up to his chest, arms crossed over his legs, and hands resting on opposite shoulders, with fingers spread wide apart. The sculpture is mounted on a two-tiered square base in front of a stairway.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was commissioned and installed in front of the Erie Art Center in 1978. When the Erie Art Center moved and became the Erie Art Museum in 1983, the sculpture was relocated to its present site. IAS files contain a flyer from the Erie Art Museum entitled "Eternal Vigilance."
