Bronze on Tennessee marble base.
Description:
Seated on horseback, right arm raised above head, holding his sword. Marble pedestal has four bas-reliefs commemorating America's relations with France and Europe. First shows Columbus discovering America; second relief shows President Wilson delivering his historic message before Congress in 1917. The third depicts General Pershing standing before the tomb of Lafayette and the fourth shows Marshal Foch delivering his prophesy of victory to the Knights of Columbus.
