    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain articles from Decatur Daily (AL), Sept. 15, 1974; June 24, 1975; Nov. 16, 1875; and other related materials and correspondence. The Friends of the Library donated the sculpture, which cost of $3,400. The sculpture was designed by City schools artist-in-residence Ike Hay. It was fabricated by Construction Services, owned by Mike Scroggins, who contributed $1,100 in fabrication costs. Additional funding may have been supplied by the National Endowment for the Arts. Wheeler Basin Regional Library is also known as Decatur Public Library.
