    Medium:

    Dimensions:
    Fountain: approx. 16 x 80 x 58 ft.; Circular pool: approx. Diam. 160 ft.
    Description:
The design for this piece was inspired by raindrops, or pebbles, rippling on the water surface and other images of nature. It consists of circular concrete terracing, stacked in 11 peaks of varying heights; rocks are randomly placed between the terraced peaks; each terraced stack is topped with a circular pool of water. A water jet in each circular pool, and six in the surrounding circular pool, shoot streams of water up into the air. The water falls into the surrounding circular pool creating images of volcanic geysers, raindrops on water, and pebble ripples on water. The fountain sits in a low, semicircular spillway on the banks of the Arkansas River. A tall semicircular concrete wall and platform hold the river back.
