ERECTED/BY THE UNIVERSITY IN OCTOBER 1970. signed Description:  A bulldog, mascot for Mississippi State University athletics. The dog stands atop a two-tiered brick base, which is part of a larger, brick wall, designed for seating and a mini-plaza area commonly called "The Bull Ring."
