Remarks:
Conrad Dyar was a long-time
city
parks official. The original Conrad Dyar Fountain was remodelled and rebuilt in 1982 as part of a
city
beautification program. The saucer-like disks were salvaged from the original fountain and regrouped. Cost of the fountain was $2,600. The new fountain and columns had to be repainted two months after installation because paint was flaking off steel columns. The columns were sandblasted and acid-etched before paint was re-applied.
