    Description: 
    The statue of St. Francis and a statue of a wolf are installed next to each other, each mounted on its own base. The figure of St. Francis is dressed in a hooded robe tied at the waist. His head is bowed and his hands are cupped together in front of him. On his proper right side a wolf sits with its head turned toward St. Francis.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was donated to St. Nicholas Hospital by Dr. Bernard Marsho and Dr. Arnold Fieder. It was created in Italy and purchased from Tony Moroder International Statuary of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The sculpture was originally installed in the courtyard of the Old St. Nicholas Hospital, but in 1979 it was relocated to the sister's convent at 3149 Saemann Avenue. In 1994 the sculpture was moved to its present site.
