    The Transamerica Building was formerly known as the Phoenix Title Building. Objects found discarded in the desert, including wheels, parts of trees, etc., were used in the casting of the piece. The sculpture was originally a golden color (from the pigment in the concrete), but was subsequently painted white. The east facade is known as "Phoenix Rising".
