Description:
Solar calendar fountain consists of an angled ring with thirty-two jets of water which converge at its center. The ring rests in the center of a slightly domed circle of pavers which contain ridges marked with dates of the solar calendar. Shadows cast by the sun through a slit on top of the ring is calculated to fall on the appropriate ridge.

Commissioned by Busch Properties for $80,000. A ten minute video about the construction and operation of the fountain, and about the artists and astronomer, Robert Cox, who designed it, is available from the office of the building manager of Busch Properties.
