    Description: 
    "Male figure astride a rearing horse. Figure wears military dress: a decorated coat with sash, epaulets, a flowing cape, and tall boots. A sword, sheathed in its scabbard, hangs over his left thigh. Figure extends his hat out to one side. Base on which the sculpture sits is decorated with bronze plaques which commemorate Simon Bolivar, the countries he liberated, and the dedication of the monument."

    Remarks: 
    A gift from the government of Venezuela to the city of San Francisco in 1981, this statue is a cast by Victor Hugo Berrenchea-Villegas of Adamo Tadolini's original 19th century piece. Miriam Gandica Mora was engineer for the 1984 base.
