    Description: 
    Bas-relief bronze sculpture depicting a family rising up in flames. The father stands in back. He wears a jacket and trousers and a prayer shawl. He has his proper left hand on his wife's head. She stand in front of him and wears a head covering and dress. Her proper right arm is around the shoulders of the child and she is holding his proper right hand in hers. The boy wears a shirt and trousers. His body is shown in proper right profile. All three figures are barefoot. A Torah scroll is above the man's head and is also surrounded by flames. The sculpture is attached to a tall granite slab with granite wings on either side which slope down and away from the center slab.

    Remarks: 
    Nearby plaque: "1933 1945. To the undying memory of our loved ones perished in the years of persecution and denied the dignity of a final resting place. Dedicated September 24, 1989. 24 Elul 5749." The Hebrew inscriptions on the wings of the base translate as: "Remember" and "Magnified and Sanctified (be) His Great Name". The Hebrew inscription on the scroll translates: "Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself". A small coffin is buried in front of the monument which contains the names of 100 family members of Manchester residents who were victims of the Holocaust.
