    Description: 
    A sea lion with a rounded body, its head turned to the proper left and looking upward, on a half-dome. The sculpture has a green patina and is set in San Franciso Bay, mounted on a base.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture is a replacement for a 1955 concrete and haydite sculpture also by Sybrian. (The original concrete sculpture was sited at the foot of the Hearst Wall, under Dr. Thomas Wiper's house until around 1958; and then moved by the edge of the water. It lasted about 8 years before deteriorating from water and debris exposure). The bronze replacement sculpture, cast from the original molds, was funded by the Sausalito Foundation.
