Remarks:
The totem pole commemorates the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Bill of Rights. The totem pole was carved by members of the Woodcarvers Unlimited Club of Fairfield Bay after a suggestion by Loreda Ellis of Clinton, Arkansas. Club members who carved the totem include: Bob Hoskins, Mina Hoskins, Al Katzenberger, Coy Lawson, Max Nigh, Helen Planke, Clarence Radford, Art Sadel, Bob Schrage, Don Shelton, Mary Solvin, Allen Stewart, Dick Whisler and Jim White. The totem pole was placed in its concrete foundation by the Fairfield Bay Community Club's community maintenance department.
