    Description: 
    Atop a tall rectangular stone base is a standing portrait of Wallace viewing the battle for Scotland's independence that took place in 1305 near Stirling Castle. He holds up a sword in his raised proper right hand and rests his proper left hand on a shield which bears the image of a lion. He is dressed in his battle uniform which consists of a helmet, cape, and mesh body armor. A horn hangs from a strap across his chest.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture is a copy of the original sculpture by D. W. Stevenson which crowns the Abbey Craig near Steeling, Scotland. This cast was given to the City of Baltimore by William Wallace Spence in 1893 on St. Andrew's Day.
