Description:
Christopher Columbus stands wearing period dress and a cloak. His proper right arm is raised and pointing while his proper left hand holds a rolled scroll. He stands atop a base with inscriptions and plaques.

Presented by the Order Sons of Italy in America. Originally installed in front of the Walt Whitman Cultural Arts Center in Camden, New Jersey and dedicated there Oct. 9, 1976. IAS files contain a complete transcription of the large plaque on the base. IAS files also contain a newsphoto of the original unveiling from Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, Oct. 11, 1976, pg. 12.
