    Christopher Columbus stands wearing period dress and a cloak. His proper right arm is raised and pointing while his proper left hand holds a rolled scroll. He stands atop a base with inscriptions and plaques.

IAS files contain a complete transcription of the large plaque on the base. IAS files also contain a newsphoto of the original unveiling from Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, Oct. 11, 1976, pg. 12.
