Description:
Mounted atop a tall, square shaft is a standing figure of a fireman, depicted as if returning from a fire. He is dressed in his uniform and carries his jacket draped over his raised proper left forearm. The shaft is separated by horizontal moldings and reliefs of a winged orb, symbolizing Time and Eternity. The top of the shaft is draped with swags. The monument is mounted upon a platform with three semicircular stairways leading up to it. On each corner of the platform is an urn.

This monument commemorating firemen was erected by the Rochester Firefighters Benevolent Association at a cost of about $8,000.
