Description:
Uniformed male Civil War soldier standing at ease on a tiered base with canopy and pillars. The soldier is holding the barrel of a rifle with both hands with the butt of the rifle on the plinth. The soldier is painted with a blue uniform, tan face, and a brown and gray rifle. The pillars are of polished granite and support a pediment on each side. The front pediment features a green painted 1905; the rear pediment has two branches; and the two side pediments have crossed cannons with cannonballs. The immediate base of the figure is bordered by cannon balls. In middle of the base between the pillars is a cannon. GAR on base is black with blue background.
