    Description: 
    Full-length portrait of Chief Little Crow (1818-1863), wrapped in a buffalo blanket, his proper right hand raised to his forehead, shielding his eyes. He hair is down his back and he wears a necklace and a beaded headband with feathers. On the back of the blanket are a number of etched symbols, including those of animals and hunting. The figure is mounted upon a mortared fieldstone base.

    Remarks: 
    Chief Little Crow fought for the Indian's right to live in peace. Sculpture was a gift of the artist and his wife. Bronze work for the sculpture was done by Ted Tangen.
