    Description: 
    A fountain with three basins supports three figures. Standing on a pedestal in the center of the highest and smallest basin is a woman in a gown with her arms stretched before her. The highest basin is mounted atop a pedestal set in the center of the middle basin. The middle basin also has a nude, adolescent male figure and a nude, adolescent female figure. Each figure is seated and holds a slate with both hands. The middle basin is set within a large, ground-level basin which mounts an inscribed plaque on its outer wall.

    Remarks: 
    William Tingley, 1828-1914, was a wagon maker, and George H. Tingley, was superintendent of the Louisville school system from 1863-1894.
