Description:
The war memorial is comprised of a seated woman holding a wreath of blooming roses to her breast with her proper right hand. She sits on a seated carved to look like a rough stone bench, and looks up at the top of a square pier behind her. The sculpture is set atop a four-tiered base, inscribed with names of wars. A fence with flags surrounds the memorial.

Remarks:
The statue was purchased for $500 from Capt. Remo Russo, son of A. N. Russo (owner of a marble firm in Scranton). The sculpture was purchased by Cyril Bosak (an Old Forge insurance man). Rick Sirianni of Sirinani Monument Works designed the base.
