    Description: 
    Two child-size tiled pyramids, connected by an underground speaking tube, so children can talk to each other. The blue and gray tiled west pyramid has an image of a young man in a Mexican landscape, poised listening with his proper right hand cupped to his ear. The east pyramid is covered in dark blue tiles.

    Remarks: 
    Funded with a National Endowment for the Arts, Art in Public Places grant given in 1985 to The Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design. Simonian collaborated with Mexican tile maker German Rugerio to create the sculpture. Rugerio German produced the traditional puebla style panel depicting the man with his hand cupped over his ear. IAS files contain an excerpt from Adolfo V. Nodal's "How the Arts Made a Difference," Los Angeles: Hennessey & Ingalls, 1989, pg. 74-76.
