Description:
Site installation consisting of three different elements which combine to form a set, or backdrop, for television broadcasts. The main element is a curved wall with a yellow arched door in its center and two yellow risers or "steps" along its front. The mortar on the risers is pink and blue. Almost perpendicular at the south end of the center piece is an attached ramp and stairs. The third element of the installation is a detached wall, set back and overlapped by the center element. It has an inset, shallow, rectangular niche on the front center near the bottom. The niche has gradually receding steps. The wall has three semicircular pilasters at the back. The styrofoam installation is covered with a thin layer of concrete and is painted in a palette of light pastels and dark blue-greens. The exterior wall of the ramp is finished to suggest an irregular rock facade and is painted light purple with pink grouting. Each element rests on a stone block base. The stone base of the detached wall element sits on a concrete pad.
