    Description: 
    Interior scene with a sportsman lounging in an armchair near a fireplace. He holds a newspaper and smokes a pipe. In the smoke he exhales is an imagined scene of a hunter shooting two deer. A dog sits on the floor at his side. A table at left holds a dead bird, hat, rifle and two boxes. A bookcase with books, a painting of a fisherman, a clock, a deer head, and a bear rug are also in the scene.
