A female figure, dressed in a loose fitting gown and wearing a necklace and a crown made of cat-tails, stands holding an urn sideways against her proper left hip with both hands.

The statue, which has been on the grounds since at least 1905, was first installed above a sea lion shelter. In 1940 it was moved to its present location in the formal garden. The statue is thought to have been one of four that each represented a different season. The statue underwent restoration in 1990, which included walnut shell blasting.
