A bronze figure of a mother holding her baby in her arms and sitting with her legs tucked under her, on a granite block. The woman is barefoot and her hair is tied up with a bow. She wears a dress with elbow-length sleeves, tied with a sash at the waist, and a cowl in the back. She holds the nude infant close to her chest and she supports its head with her proper left hand. There is a small plaque on the granite block. The sculpture is placed in a planted setting.
