    Description: 
    Beginning with granite pillars erected to replace temporary pillars inscribed with the names of World War I dead, this memorial grew to include five steles inscribed with the names of World War II and Korean War dead, and later two more steles inscribed with the names of Vietnam War dead. An carved stone eagle with its wings spread is perched on the middle stele of the five World War II/Korean War steles.
