Description:
Marble figure of a woman kneeling. She is completely enshrouded by the folds of her garment and veil. Her arms are crossed in front of her knees and her head is bowed into the recess created by her arms. The sculpture stands atop a granite tomb.

Remarks:
The sculpture was commissioned by William H. Haxall, step-father of William N. Worthington. Cost of the sculpture was $400. IAS files contain copy of related City of Richmond Sculpture Survey and artist's correspondence.
