W. 12 ft. x D. 14 ft. (2,500 lbs.). Inscription:  unsigned Description:  A tall angular abstract sculpture constructed with folded pieces of steel. The sculpture rests on a flat concrete aggregate foundation. Subject:  Abstract -- Geometric Object -- Toy -- Kite Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Michigan -- Grand Rapids Sculpture Owner:  Grand Rapids Art Museum, 155 Division North, Northwest corner, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503 Accession Number: 1978.4.2 Remarks:  The sculpture was created in 1977 with three others for an exhibition by the Chrysler Museum and the Virginia Beach Art Center. The sculpture was subsequently purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Percy Berman for the Grand Rapids Art Museum. It was originally installed at the former location of the Grand Rapids Art Museum at 230 East Fulton. The inscription on a nearby plaque reads: JASHA GREEN/AMERICAN, b. 1927/FLOOR KITE XIV, 1978/COR-TEN STEEL/GRAND RAPIDS ART MUSEUM COLLECTION/GIFT OF PERCY BERMAN.
