    Remarks: 
    Erected by the State of Pennsylvania, the monument marks the spot where Major General John F. Reynolds was fatally struck by a Confederate ball on the morning of July 1, 1863. The memorial is listed on the National Park Service, List of Classified Structures (referred to as MN 41) and is referenced in the Gettysburg National Military Park Archives, vol. 4. IAS files contain a copy of the LCS report form.
