    Remarks: 
    Nathan C. Ricker and James M. White were the architects of the building where the piece is set. From Chicago, J. Hakon Hoft, Richard Mohn, and Warren R. Roberts were contractors for the building. Altgeld Hall was built as the University Library and later housed the Law School. It is now the Mathematics Department and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
