    Description: 
    Three bas-reliefs appear over the entrance of the school building. The central relief depicts children and the two others contain adults and children. The relief on the right seems to represent music. All figures are dressed in classical-style clothing.

    Prior to 1952, the James B. Dudley School was known as the Northside School, the Cornelius Harnett School and the Peabody Annex. Wrenn (Charlottesville: University of Virginia Press, 1984), pg. 158.
