    Remarks: 
    Hiram Haskell Edgerton (1847-1922) was Mayor of Rochester, New York, from 1908 to 1921. The sculpture was erected privately with funds from Rochester citizens and was originally located outdoors on a gate to Edgerton Park. Per 1993 SOS! survey, the piece had recently been relocated to its current indoor site. IAS files contain transcriptions of five text panels that were on the wall of the relief's original location.
