    Full-length figure of Alexander Ferguson stands on a low square base. The figure wears a three-piece suit, wingtip shoes and glasses. He holds a briefcase at his side, in his proper right hand.

    Remarks: 
    Sculpture honors British-born Alexander Ferguson, the first Credit Union operator in Maine. It was commissioned by his colleagues from the Maine Credit Union and was funded by credit unions around the state. Wesley Reed was artist-in-residence at the University of Southern at the time of the commission. Alexander Ferguson himself sat for the piece in 1984.
