    Description: 
    A sundial. The general design is of two circles enclosing one another and quartered. The outer circle is 11 in. wide with 'beaded' edges and contains Roman numerals for the hours V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, I, II, III, IV, V. The inner circle is separated from the outer by a space of 5 in. The inner circle is 3 ft. 4 in. in diameter and is a quartered disk. The gnomon is attached to the inner edge of the outer circle at XII and the center point of the inner circle. Its point is topped with a small ball. The stencil-like letters "N," "S," "E," "W" are the cutout spaces in 13 in. disks fitted into curved indentations on the outer edge of the outer circle. The metal work of the sundial is mounted flat on the inner concrete base. This base is in turn mounted on another concrete base. A double row of vertically mounted bricks extends form each axis letter to the outer edge of the outer base and from there across the asphalt beyond the base.
