Wall and sidewalks on the Gateway Building grounds are a geometric arrangement of bricks in various colors, textures and surfaces. The wall and one sidewalk comprise an area known as the Western Arcade. The pattern on the wall is an abstract map of Bethesda. The other sidewalk is on the Willow Lane side between Wisconsin Avenue and 47th Street.
