Description:  Relief on four floodwall panels depict the history of the City of Rochester and Olmsted County. Images include a Conestoga wagon, ceremonial peace pipe, bison, Canada geese, a wagon wheel, mill, cow, IBM computer, the Mayo Clinic's Plummer Building, the tornado of 1883 and a cornstalk. In front of the reliefs is a collection of rough-hewn rocks over which water flows. The funds came from the City's flood control budget and was constructed under the supervision of the U.S. Corps of Engineers. Taff Roberts, the artist's husband, assisted with the mold-making. Sketches and other items related to the work while in progress were exhibited at the Rochester Arts Center, Sept. 18-Oct. 31, 1993.
