Wichita State University, Edwin A. Ulrich Museum of Art, 1845 North Fairmount, Wichita, Kansas 67260 Accession Number: 95.10
    Remarks:
The sculpture was purchased to celebrate the Centennial of the University and in honor of Emory Lindquist, a late WSU emeritus president, who knew Milles. The sculpture was cast posthumously in 1995. (The original, done in 1940 as a study for an unrealized monument, was completed full scale as a monument to the Scandinavian actor Gosta Ekman and stands on a bay across from Millesgarden, the artist's home in Sweden). IAS files contain copy of related article from The Wichita Eagle, July 9, 1995. The WSU copy was cast by Gunnar Patterssson.
