    Description: 
    Pocahontas strides forward with her arms spread at her waist. She wears a Native American dress, moccasins, a necklace, and a headband with a feather tucked into it.

    Remarks: 
    Elias Abraham Upshur mixed the cement and Samuel Straughan Robinson helped weld the armature. Figure was Hylah Robinson's first and was modeled after the Pocahontas sculpture at Jamestown, Virginia. Figure was painted several years after created. Figure has been wire-brushed and repainted several times since. For further reading see Richmond Times-Dispatch (VA), July 21, 1935.
