    Remarks:
The sculpture cost $9,452. It was a gift of Allegheny Ludlum and the Lakeshore Association for the Arts and was acquired in 1974. Funding was provided by the Edward John Noble Foundation, the University's artist-in-residence program, and the National Endowment for the Arts. The sculpture was fabricated by Newbrook Machine Company. Nelson J. Palmer designed the foundation, and the excavation work was done by Meister Construction Company. The sculpture was installed in July 1994 and dedicated Sept. 15, 1974. Prior to its September dedication, the position of two of the figures was changed slightly because of the discovery of an initial installation problem.
