Remarks:
The sculpture was funded by the State's One Percent for Art Public Buildings Program, as part of the Ancell building construction. It was purchased for $39,285. IAS files contain artist's proposal for the sculpture and article from New York Times, July 24, 1983.
Bronze plaque in asphalt pad adjacent to sculpture reads: "WestConn West"/WARREN OWENS/COMMISSIONED BY/STATE OF CONNECTICUT/DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES/AND/COMMISSION ON THE ARTS/1983.
