A triptych of three cast aluminum relief panels depicting football players in action, mounted over an entry gate to a stadium. The left panel is of a football player throwing a ball, his proper right hand cocked behind his proper left ear. His proper left hand is extended, parallel to the ground. The center panel consists of three figures, grouped and running, one in the foreground and two in the background. The right background figure is the ball carrier and has a football in his proper left hand. Next to him is a blocker. The foreground figure is tackling the passing figure, his right hand raised to the head of the ball carrier. The right panel depicts a single figure in extended kicking form with outstretched leg toward the center panel. His proper right arm extends outward parallel to the kicking leg. A duplicate set of relief panels was removed in 1973.

    Remarks:
    Title supplied by Inventory cataloger.
The stadium was dedicated on September 18, 1948. The relief panels are made of aluminum mined at the Bauxite mines in Arkansas, and smelted in the Reynolds Plant near Hot Springs. A duplicate set of panels was removed and put in storage in 1973, when the addition of the Press box was made. IAS files contain two articles from the Arkansas Gazette, Sept. 18, 1948, pg. 1, and Sept. 19, 1948, pg. 1, which discuss the dedication of the stadium.
