Remarks:
Given by parishioners of St. Mary's as a Marian Year tribute of devotion to the Mother of God. A stone taken from the ruins of the 12th century Crusaders' Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, Israel decorates the base. Figures were carved in Italy. IAS files contain a related excerpt from a parish brochure, "St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish: One Hundred Golden Years, 1867-1967"; and a related article from the Mobile Press Register (Alabama), May 9, 1992.
